However, when Sameer proposed to Wendy surrounded by white roses and candles, he knew exactly what he was getting… a lifetime shared with the woman he loved. These two really are sweet together. Whether it’s sharing a stroll through the park, enjoying the bustling city over a glass of wine, or taste-testing the latest Socola Chocolate recipe, they know how to make the most of each moment together. Their special day is right around the corner and it is sure to be just as fun and beautiful as they are. Congrats Wendy & Sameer! (and thanks for sending us home with the box of chocolates!!)

The rolling hills of San Luis Obispo feel like home to these Cal Poly SLO alums, and with the mustard fields in bloom, they got their “country on” as Tommy, the horse, insisted on being part of the photo shoot. Later, the rolling vineyards of Wolfe Winery offered a spot to share a glass of wine, and then it was off to the famous-but-hidden apple orchards of SLO Creek Farms. And no day of wine and picnicking is complete without a stop for ice cream and a beautiful sunset at the beach! A truly picture-perfect day on the central coast was had by all. The only day that can top it for Julie and Mike — is when they tie the knot this fall. Congrats Julie & Mike!

For die-hard fans Linda & Steven, the Giants are their family, the park is their home, and on an usually beautiful San Francisco day, they had it all to themselves. They had a blast hanging out in the dugout as Linda inspired Team Steven to win the game from her rooftop perch! The panoramic views were incredible, but nothing could match the genuine love, friendship and fun shared between these two. After a fun day of baseball, the evening ended at sunset on a romantic note with a champagne toast to their upcoming wedding. Congrats Linda & Steven!

So to celebrate their engagement, they decided to take a step back in time to an arcade from the 1920′s. Walking into the nostalgic Musée Mécanique, dolled-up to the nines, they were surrounded by a vivid buzz of vintage arcade bells and whistles. Dennis was a real “gent”, Darcie was “hot stuff”, and together they melted the photobooth’s curtain. After Dennis impressed Darcie with an impressive victory over the mechanical arm-wrestle guy, they strolled hand-in-hand along Fisherman’s Wharf down to the iconic Golden Gate Bridge. Congrats Darcie and Dennis!

And it was a rare fog-free day as Jan & Emily exchanged their vows in the rotunda, surround by the huge bay windows. However, when Jan surprised Emily and all their guests by playing his guitar and singing, the ceremony became a very heart-warming moment for everyone. After happily becoming husband and wife, the main hall was flipped into an elegant setting for their reception. Of course, there were some unique touches that were spot-on reflections of Emily and Jan’s fun personalities. Since they had gotten engaged at the World Cup, each guest was given a Vuvuzela — a perfect way for everyone to loudly join the celebration. And, an ice sculpture of the World Cup logo, which doubled as a luge, delivered an alcoholic shot of choice! The night was a wonderful celebration of love and laughter for everyone. Congrats Emily & Jan!

However, as is the tradition, before Brenda’s family will allow Ed in, Ed has to prove his love and dedication by accomplishing some good-humored “hazing” games. With the help of his groomsmen, Ed not only completed every task, but did so with a style and grace that convinced Brenda’s family that yes, he could be allowed in. Games and laughter were soon replaced by a very sweet reveal for them, which then was topped off by tea and more red envelopes. Afterwards, it was off to San Francisco’s famous City Hall, where at the top of the grand staircase, Brenda & Ed became husband and wife. A few stops at some classic San Francisco locations for photos, and then it was off to a wonderful dinner at Wayfare Tavern where more guests were waiting to join the celebration in the private Bartlett Room. The evening was perfect with loving speeches, wine, an incredible dinner, and of course, delicious wedding cake. Congrats Brenda & Ed!

Choir voices filled the Mission as Jessica arrived in a yellow school bus, where inside, at the end of the long dramatic aisle, Evan awaited his beautiful bride. Their ceremony was full of love, tradition, and some incredible singing by their wedding party, that filled everyone’s heart. After the ceremony, the Mission Gardens offered a place for the newlyweds to enjoy a few minutes of quiet time together. But not for long — their elegant reception awaited at Villa Ragusa, where everyone celebrated the night’s theme, “All You Need is Love.” In what was a surprise for most everyone, Jessica, being the professional dancer and choreographer that she is, had clearly taught everyone in her wedding party multiple complex dances that were performed with perfection and joyous energy. From the wild introduction of the wedding party to the emotional first dance as husband and wife, their dances left every guest speechless. And with a love like that, their guests joined them in dancing well into the night, where all that was needed — was love. Congrats Jessica & Evan!

It is where they grew up and where they met, so it was only fitting that they returned to Virginia for their wedding. CrossKeys Vineyards in Mount Crawford, Virginia, was an exceptionally beautiful location for their special wedding day. Surrounded by rolling vineyards, and with farmhouses dotting the countryside, they exchanged vows in front of their closest family and friends. The reception that followed was filled with wonderful stories, good music, and a personalized crossword puzzle that showed off who really knew the couple the best! For a special treat, Maria’s favorite food, bacon, was served dipped in dark chocolate. The day ended with storm clouds breaking through at sunset, but even though their wedding day had ended, the adventure was not over. The next day, Maria and Brandon went to the Shenandoah Mountains, a location special to both of them. Dressed in their wedding finery, they enjoyed some local spots, including jumping into a waterfall for a couple of once-in-a-lifetime shots. Congrats Maria & Brandon! Sharing Virginia with you was an honor.

An extremely chance encounter a year prior in San Francisco led to us having the honor of shooting their lovely wedding at The Holly Farm in Carmel Valley, our mutual home town. The Holly Farm is a unique oasis of a setting, hidden away, draped under a continuous canopy of tropical greenery in every direction. Despite all the secluded paths and corners of the property, you couldn’t hide the energy radiating from Merissa and Kory. It was smiles and laughter in all directions, from friends and family alike, leading up to those two small words that they committed to each other. And soon after those two words, any remaining nervous energy was quickly transformed into party energy. A few drinks, a little bocce ball, great food and even greater cake afterwards assured the celebration went well into the night. Congrats Merissa and Kory! Thank you for sharing your special day with us.
