Kolina & Reid’s Wedding at Stanford Memorial Church…

For Stanford alums, there is one great homecoming… returning to be married in the University’s architectural crown jewel, Stanford Memorial Church. While Kolina and her bridesmaids prepared nearby, Reid and his groomsmen had some fun burning off energy by riding bikes around campus. When it was time for the big moment to begin, Kolina and her father walked down the isle to celebrated Stanford organist Robert Huw Morgan playing one of MemChu’s famous organs — an exceptional experience that lets you “feel” the music. Reid looked overjoyed standing under the great dome waiting for his bride, and soon, surrounded by the glowing mosaics and vibrant stained glass windows, they exchanged their vows on the great alter. The celebration continued at the Los Altos History Museum, where all of Kolina’s personal touches were lovely, from hanging mason jars with fresh flowers to her favorite novels in the center pieces. When the sun went down, the dance floor lights came up, and Kolina and Reid cut a rug with all their friends and family. Congrats Kolina & Reid!

Joanna and Elbert, married…

Sausalito translates to “place of abundance” and for Joanna and Elbert, their wedding day in Sausalito definitely was filled with an abundance of love, laughter and a few surprises. Joanna began her day under a veil that was lovingly handmade by her mother. She was exquisite, but Elbert was not to be outdone. He and his groomsmen were dressed in custom-made, hand-embroidered shirts from the Philippines, made from pineapple fiber. Their family came from as close as San Francisco and as far away as the Philippines to witness Joanna walk down the aisle at Saint Mary Star of the Sea Church. The joy they experienced walking up the aisle continued for the rest of the day and into the night at The Spinnaker, where panoramic views of the San Francisco skyline were enjoyed by all the guests. And Joanna had a surprise up her sleeve… a serenade for Elbert. Her beautiful voice insured that there was not a dry eye in the house. It was a truly wonderful day and a beautiful celebration of marriage. Congrats Joanna & Elbert!

Jamie and Jeff’s Civil Ceremony at the San Francisco City Hall…

Friday at San Francisco’s City Hall is always an exciting day as couples exchange their wedding vows, yet in the flurry of activity, Jamie & Jeff were truly focused on each other as they patiently waited for their number to be called… and then it was. Suddenly, the echoes under the great dome magically faded away the minute the ceremony started atop the grand staircase. Surrounded by their immediate family, they exchanged rings and happily kissed (multiple times) to make it official. Their joy was contagious as they walked through the classic architecture of city hall and out onto the bustling streets of San Francisco that is their home. Congrats Jamie & Jeff!

Nicole and Jose’s Wedding in Sonoma…

Nicole and Jose both have a love of Italy, and on their special day, the stunning scenery & architecture of Jacuzzi Family Vineyards in Sonoma provided that perfect taste of Tuscany. Their day began with a reveal in the vineyards, where Jose patiently waited for the big moment when Nicole would reach for his hand. Upon seeing her for the first time, all the nervousness was instantly replaced with smiles, love and admiration. The vineyard provided a perfect backdrop as Nicole & Jose exchange their vows, with a bit of humor as they read their vows from their iPhones, which were the very same devices that helped them stay connected during a long distance relationship. After their ceremony, there was one more twist representing their lives coming together — a surprise groom’s cake for Jose that was a mini Brooklyn Bridge with a llama crossing it. The bridge represented Nicole’s home town of New York, and the llama with the Peruvian flag represented Jose’s home town of Arequipa. Not only was Jose completely taken back by the surprise, but all the guests were as well. After dinner, the evening was infused with Latin music and dance until a Rolls Royce arrived to take them off into the night to begin their lives together. It was a perfect wedding that will stay in their hearts forever. Congrats Nicole & Jose! And, a special thanks to Amy Nichols Special Events for assuring everything was coordinated perfectly!
